Infant Aquatics of Lubbock (IA of LBK) structures all group and maintenance survival swim lessons using a semester-based model. This format is designed to support consistency, long-term skill retention, and continued water safety as children grow and develop. Rather than short-term sessions, semesters allow for ongoing instruction, monitoring, and skill maintenance that better reflect the developmental needs of infants and young children.

IA of LBK operates three semesters each year: Winter, Summer, and Fall. Semesters are structured to align as closely as possible with public school schedules, allowing families to maintain consistent routines throughout the year. Any scheduled breaks out of the water will remain consistent annually to support predictable planning for families.

Each semester runs approximately four months. Tuition is set at twenty-five dollars ($25) per week and is billed on a monthly basis to make financial planning more manageable for families. Tuition covers continued instruction, instructor supervision, skill reinforcement, and necessary adjustments as each child grows and progresses in their survival swim abilities.

By enrolling a child in a semester of group or maintenance lessons, families are committing to the full semester both financially and programmatically. Once enrollment is confirmed, there are no mid-semester withdrawals, and families are responsible for the full semester tuition. Consistent attendance is strongly encouraged, as regular participation is essential for maintaining survival swim skills and ensuring ongoing water safety. Exceptions to this policy may be considered only in cases of permanent relocation or documented medical necessity.

Regular attendance is vital to a child’s success in survival swim lessons. While IA of LBK understands that schedules may occasionally need adjustment, any requested schedule changes will be accommodated only as availability allows and are not guaranteed. Make-up lessons or alternate times are dependent on instructor availability and class capacity.

This semester-based structure allows IA of LBK to provide affordable, long-term access to survival swim instruction while maintaining a high standard of safety and consistency. Ongoing enrollment enables instructors to continuously monitor each child’s progress, adjust skills as needed, and ensure that water safety remains a priority year-round rather than limited to short-term instruction periods.
